Woodland management?

Took the dog for a walk and, because she insists on barking furiously at anything on four legs and there was a dog coming towards us, we took a detour on the way back and walked round part of the swag.

It was very muddy and when we got up onto the main pathway we discovered that many of the trees had been felled. It will make walking easier, as it was becoming quite overgrown, but it came as quite a shock to see them all gone.

My one sadness is that the lovely 'archway' of trees pictured here has now gone.
