Jahangir & Noor
Today was my first day after mid-term exams and I wanted to sleep in but Miss Crazy Photographer dragged me out of bed in the morning to go visit the tomb of Emperor Jahangir & Empress Nur Jahan (his wife) in the outskirts of city...
Jahan ruled the Mughal Empire in the 1600s and was best known for his policies for justice & his love of the arts & culture.
Nur Jahan was his wife & was known for her intelligence & beauty. Nur Jahan was also thought to be the real power behind Jahangir's throne. Some people say that she once killed four tigers with six bullets.
This is a picture of a young pathan girl that I took while roaming around. You can see part of Jahangir's tomb in the background.
