Downy in the dumps
Downy woodpecker hiding from the rain.
Lots of rain today... Its washed a good chunk of the stone away. The ground looks so much more... complicated... not covered in white there is so much more detail everywhere.
Went to the Ear Nose and Throat specialist with the little ones today.
Our big girls ears are fine, one tube has long gone and the other wassat in her ear canal, so he fished it out.
The little one is another story. 5 sets of ear infections since end of November and some of those were in both ears. 2 of them needed more than 1 course of antibiotics to remove. On antibiotics she kept losing weight too. The hearing tests they did today so that her hearing is affected by all the ear infections causing a tightening of the drum which means she has trouble hearing quieter noises. Losing weight isnt good when she is underweight for her age anyways, restricted hearing when she is just trying to learn to speak is not good either. So in 2 weeks time she will be having tubes put in. Very simple procedure, but it does involve putting them under with general anaesthetic for about 10 mins.
