Throwaway words
I think there's something in this picture about trampling underfoot, careless throwaway words, and disregard for the way people express their story and dreams and ideas. Particularly poignant given the voices speaking out across the Middle East and North Africa. But I can't quite put it all together eloquently. I guess thats why there is a photo in the first place.
I saw this book stuck in the mud on my way into my course today...the last day of a 2 year HEC in Person Centred Approaches to Social Care. It's a long story..if i'm going to get cliched I'd be talking about this being just chapter 1 finished.. Maybe I was in a more sentimental mood about the ending than I realised or admitted.
Whilst taking the snap and listening to the pages fluttering back and forth I got to thinking about how most of the time I spend following the authors directive front to back. (and trying to stop pages fluttering in the endless Scottish winds if I'm silly enough to attempt to read outside) but these pages fluttered freely, skipping around in the breeze continually reshaping the narrative. Nice.
