Play Day

We've had a day of fun, slightly chaotic fun, but fun. We went to a mini play day this morning - Katie played in water, paper shreddings, crazy soap, with giant duplo, a play shop, hula hoops, decorated a biscuit (and pinched chocolate raisins for her tummy!) and a whole bunch more things. She stopped for her normal friday elevenses before continuing with some more play.

By the time i put her in the car, she was fading fast, so we headed home and I put her to bed. I had to go wake her up to get ready for swimming.

Swimming wasnt our usual teacher today, so we missed seeing Sarah, but Katie enjoyed the lesson still and was quite happy to do the songs too. She was REALLY pleased though because her green floaty mat has reappeared. She looked in total disgust at the new blue one, but was very glad to be playing on her familiar green one - apart from colour and lacking a corner or two on the old one, they're identical, but not to Katie! Because it was the holidays, there was a family session on in the big pool, and as always, Katie was itching to go in it, so after her lesson and play, I took her in. She played on a surf board and had good old bimble round.

She ate a brilliant tea when we got home, after already having a good old munch on some crackers and fruit after swimming. Come bath and bedtime, she made me read stories to her and six of her teddies, all in my lap. She then flaked after about 3 minutes of feeding!
