Self Portrait In Rear Window

Though you'd have to use a magnifying glass to see me, just the top of my bald dome and the shadow-smudge of the camera. As you may know, I am fascinated by windows (as many photographer's are). I liked the contrast between inner and outer worlds here, the bewitching purplish evening.

Later, I got around to finally taking a pic of a road near here. For years, I'd been meaning to photograph it at night. When we were teenagers, a friend from across the city (his house was around the corner from the raw, leafless badlands of Ballymun towers) used to call it ANIMAL ROAD (because of the 1960s-style animal motifs on the gates) I haven't seen him in donkey's but that's how I'll always think of it.
