Tom told us he was going to Granny's this weekend because he needed a break from us. Whatever works for him.

In a couple of hours we're off down the road to Cumbria without him for two nights of hanging out - just the two of us. Expect early bursts of minor bickering followed by long lie-ins.

Oh, and lots of conversations about the wee man and what he's up to.
