Celebration

It's always nice to get recognition for hard work - but celebrating that recognition is an extra bonus :-)

So it was a very nice surprise this evening to find a glass of champagne waiting as a thank you from the bosses to everyone in the office, to celebrate winning RTS News Programme of the Year on Wednesday night.

I don't usually drink so consequently I'm a bit of a lightweight. I knocked back my champagne then zig-zagged up the road to get some food muttering at people getting in the way... thankfully after some food I was back on form for the late bulletin (that would be the award-winning bulletin... can anyone say "pressure"?)

It's shaping up to be a very busy news year so far - and we're only two months in...
