Fear and Loathing in Islington

It was a good day. An early start and lots of productivity. Visits were going well, the sun was shining, the traffic was acceptable life was rosy all until 2:08pm

I had moved my car twice, spent £6:40 on parking fees and was 6 mins. late getting back to the car. There were lots of sympathetic looks from passers by.

Working in London it becomes merely an occupational hazard, to be expected from time to time.

I can't help thinking that it is merely a tax and has nothing to do with criminality or justice. The fine is the same regardless of the size of vehicle, or length of stay or ability to pay or degree of infringement or repeated infringement. The administrative machinery is put in place and the money rolls into the coffers of the town hall. Parking remains a nightmare, the roads are as congested as ever, nothing changes.

Everything went downhill from then on! Late getting home to take Hugo to his party. The boys hadn't done anything all day, Hugo not ready to go to his party. By the time he was dealt with it was too dark to carry out my planned photography session. Not good.

Oh well tomorrow is another day!
