Tiran Island
With my Advanced Open Water done and dusted today I did two dives for the fun of diving, putting my new skills to good use.
It seems though that yesterdays Narc experience has spooked me! I know I can do it, I know I am fine... but I have been spooked at about 25m. I do ok, I do everything right, I eventually get back on an even keel and I complete my dives and Pete who joined me as my buddy today has been fantastic. I now need to just relax, have confidence in myself and just do it and enjoy the dive.
Thats not to say that I didn't because both dives I have really enjoyed and I was really looking forward to diving the reefs of Tiran Island and they didn't disappoint! How could you be disappointed and not be thrilled when you see this fella above as part of your dive! How cool is he!
The fish that we saw today were amazing. Clown fish, parrot fish, squared puffer fish, shole of Mackeral and lots more.
It was amazing!
One of the things that is really making this week is the people I am diving with, it really has been fate as they are totally great people, like minded and similar humoured... its is a real laugh a minute! As the token girly it is a bit like having 3 or 4 body guards with me at all times! We socialise together when we return from diving, walking into Naama Bay for food.
Weather on the boat today was lovely and warm and I am positively glowing tonight... looking very healthy!
The only downside is that I have a poorly foot, I blistered a toe walking to far in flip flops at the beginning of the week, said blister is now red raw! Ouch!
Luckily one of the guys I am diving with is a Doctor and he is keeping an eye on my sea sickness and my toe for me! Very nice guy!
I can't believe how quick this week is going... 2 more days of diving then Sunday a day to sight see before the nights flight home!
Oh can't wait for the blip meet on Saturday night with Postie and Mrs Postie!
