accentuate the portative
Last day of training before back to normal working. Although I will miss getting to wear normal clothes whilst thinking at least I'll be back to the option of a full hour's walk at lunchtime rather than a quick half-hour-at-the-most immediately after eating.
Whilst an unimportant decision relative to some others some other people must have to make on a daily basis the question of which-laptop-to-go-for has many local-relative potential repercussions. Choosing a camera last year was a pain in the arse on paper and screen when comparing features but was easy when I popped into a shop and found that one fitted my hand (and zoomed the right way round) whereas the other did not. It's perhaps a little more difficult to pop into a shop and type for three hours to see if the keyboard remains comfortable. Still, qualities such as slip-off-the-knee risk and balance should be relatively easy to assess. I still have a couple of months to think. Whatever the result it's going to be faster to run (and much faster to boot) than that-on-which-I-now-work and much quieter and less consumptive of power and far smaller and much more portable.
