Hold On Little Blue Tit !
Stir crazy yesterday definitely got to me so Oscar and I headed out despite the fine drizzle. We headed down by the loch along to where the River Leacainn flows in to Loch Fyne and it was fair flowing past today. Oscar had a great time at the water's edge, at least he had the sense to stay back , was a bit worried he might get swept away, got a couple of shots fo his album for the boys as he's really their dog, we just look after him.
Then we meandered up river over the old bridge then onwards and upwards to the Leacainn Walk. By this time the drizzle had stopped and the mist, which had settled over the hils , began to rise and at one point there was a single ray of sunlight through the clouds , like a sign from above striking a dead tree in the middle of the moor . I did take the shot using and ND filter to emphasise the cloud and the sunray. Meanwhile Oscar had found a small stick which he was actually throwing into the air and trying to catch. That dog should be in a circus ! Between playing with the stick and chasing the water in the burns he got plenty of exercise and I got loads of shots.
However back at the ranch the birds were flockig to the feeders, the little goldfinch and the siskins have returned, more blue tits have joined the two who were here yesterday as well as a great tit. and for the first time ever there were 3 starlings and a little bird which I have yet to identify. Off course the chaffinches and sparrows were there as well. Great fun watching them so the shots of the river , the moor , the sun and Oscar are not being used tonight. I am posting that elusive little blue tit as I am really chuffed to have finaly got one of these very active liitle birds. Hope you like him as much as I do.
