York Minster ...

... from the City Walls.

I woke up to a warmer, brighter day. I knew exactly where I was going to head for and what scene I was going to take.

This was one of the first York cityscapes that I took with a newly acquired camera years ago. It is a scene that is snapped many times a day (when the weather is good).

I am not a great one for scenes that do not show people I know. I have taken some over the years but they are not the ones I return to with any great interest. Like this one, such scenes do not change much. They are there to be seen but not necessarily photographed.

Now that I have known York for over 40 years perhaps I should start to capture its essence and allure!
