Wood Duck Drake

The Wood Duck is not a native of Germany, but the climate seems to agree with them. They have their own yard in Bremen's Bürgerpark, which they share with a couple of Mandarin Ducks, but they like to explore the park or to hang out with the mallards.

I admire the drake's plumage- the pattern's almost geometrical.
