No Drums

Because of an escalation of crime when the bars close, there is increased police presence in the downtown area. Not sure why they are here at 3:30 in the afternoon, other than to question the guy with the drum. When I had passed him earlier, he was playing rhythms with his hands. He had a little bucket to collect dollars from passers-by.

A few years ago, the American Civil Liberties Union sued to permit street musicians to perform in downtown areas, and won. Evidently this guy wasn't following the rules.

Ironically, he was playing in front of Finklesteins, the music shop.
