Forbidden City

A glorious day today with beautiful blue skies, no smog, no wind, no mystery illnesses. Went for lunch with a bunch of my students (a block of duck's blood and cow's throat are two dishes I can add to my tried it list) then wandered the streets around the Forbidden City for an hour or two to get the last of the day's sun. As I walked and looked I realised I've only seen a very small fraction of this city. More exploring starts now.

Not sure why I picked this photo today, liked the light and shadow I think. More of the days pictures will be up on flickr in a bit if the uploader gets a move on.
