Horrid rain again today put paid to any outdoorsy type plans but suddenly late afternoon saw a break in the weather so I took the boys to Penny Farm which is World Horse Welfare, a charity dedicated to giving abused and neglected horses a second chance in life. We spent an hour wondering around the paddocks, meeting the horses, hearing about the sad tales that had brought them there. But every horse we saw seemed good natured, they do a fine job there and amazingly admission is free. Well worth a visit if you are ever in this neck of the woods.
