Osprey

A nice domestic scene today; this bird is sitting on a tiny twig, ( I guess if you have a five ft wingspan, a twig breaking is not going to cause too much difficulty), just in front of it's nest. It is gazing out over the lake, up high in the tree, and maybe waiting for it's mate to bring home the bacon; there was another one wheeling over occasionally, with whom this one seemed quite chatty. Alternatively, he may have a mate in the nest, and what appears to be conversation, could be veiled threats. I did get another shot today entitled, 'what do you mean, what is it? it's a KINGFISHER!' which if you put your specs on you can see here!
