Fae Lendrum tae Leeks

We may have got a nice new statue of the Turra Coo unveiled in Turra last November, but there has been another monument to Robert Paterson & the far famed fite coo at Lendrum for a long while.

No statue, just a roadside cairn with some plaques.

This side reads :

The Famous "Turra Coo" incident took place in 1913 when Robert Paterson headed resistance to injustice to farm workers in the insurance act.

There isn't much contrast in the engraved granite so I had to take the shot at an angle to make any of the text legible.
