Papanui Shops on the way Down
Big earthquakes and I cant even begin to describe them. I have not taken photos up till now as it is just too unbelieveable. Two calls tonight about family members who are trapped in buildings that are no longer being searched as deemed "unsurviveable" and one further one found and confirmed deceased. A fellow parent, a mother of two, from school.
To be a bit removed, this photo is of the local shops which define the intersection between ancient roadways leading out of the city to the north. This was mid destruction by the hands of a skilled digger driver in view of protecting life as it was groaning and shedding all over the road and footpaths.
Our house is destroyed and it is very worthy blip material but will have to wait. there are more important things to focus on as it is already in the history bin...
