Somewhere there
Today was really grim and quite a bit miserable.
But I got on my bike and rode to the coastal park nearby, where there is a view point of the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force base-the very first to have been no less). The actual air base has retired from the RAAF, and is now only used privately, but there is a museum and every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at around one they fly an old plane.
This is the plane that they flew today, it's a winjeel and was only used for training in the 50's or 60' (I think). It sounded pretty cool and the pilot air hooning as Adrian would say, doing the loop the loop.
My thoughts are with all of those that are affected by the earthquake in Christchurch. It looks devastating and terrifying.
