Inverurie Health Centre

Walking past the Inverurie Medical Practice today, I noticed these works in progress. I wondered if they might be the beginning of the 'stopgap' measures we have been promised to increase the capacity of the existing GP surgery, which now has so many patients on its books that it is reckoned to be either the largest or the second largest in Scotland.

For years the town's population has been growing at a massive rate with new development all around, yet sadly this has not led to the necessary investment in the town's Primary Care infrastructure to cope with this.

In recent years, many people's hopes were placed in proposals to create the innovative Garioch Life Centre, but late last year we learned that this innovative 'flagship' project was destined never to come to fruition.
