Wrapped Up
That wraps up the holidays then. School tomorrow.
I convinced my boy to visit another hairdresser today. He had a very (seriously) bad haircut about 2 years ago. The type that when you come out you cry. Within half an hour we were crawling into another shop pleading them to do something with it. He loves his style, so the trauma of that was awful. Since then we have tiptoed through the haircuts, trying to gently regain some style. His last cut wasn't great and showed that the girl was better than the butcher, or the candlestick maker, but still no-where near good enough.
I wanted him to go to a proper hairdresser - one where girls would go. That's was the problem. I promised him it would be ok. Thank goodness it paid off. Immediately they were talking football. He knew some of the team my boy plays with. It was also very evident that he knew hair too. Back of the Net. We had scored.
He is very happy, although, tomorrow apparently, he needs to get up in time to do his paper round, wet his hair, blow dry and straighten it, then apply wax. When exactly there will be time for breakfast and knee manipulation I'm not sure. But at least I will be sending him to school looking like he is a little parcel all wrapped nicely.
p.s. LOST:- inspiration - if found please return? Equally if you have some you are not using could you lend it to me?
