Dryad - The tree spirit!

Dryads are tree nymphs in Greek mythology.They are normally considered to be very shy creatures but I caught this one early this morning at the bottom of the garden!

Dryads are known to punish any mortals who harm trees without first propitiating the tree-nymphs. :-)
