Winterblossom

This flower is on a viburnum shrub (var. bodnantense) against a shady north wall. Normally it flowers from just before Christmas onwards into spring, snow or no snow. It is much later this year, but at last it is flowering. It has a strong and very pleasant scent which strikes anyone walking along the path to our front door.
