The Sculpture
Today we went to The Art Institute of Chicago. It is one of my favorite places to visit in the city. Normally I go to see the art and the new exhibits a few times a year. But this time I went with my camera and the photography club. My intent was to capture the space and people around the art. It is absolutely a beautiful building...the art gives it color and meaning...and the people give it life.
At the end of the day, when I had finished capturing what I had planned, I went up to the Impressionism Galleries. Of course, those are my favorite and had to take a quick walk through.
This sculpture was in one of the rooms and I created this image as a last minute thought. It turned out to be my favorite of the day.
And what a fabulous day it was!
