Ruby Red Devon Cattle

Iconic for this part of the world - powerful creatures with noble heads, by far some of the best looking cattle breeds! I found a few today while out for a drive, had to get out of the car & take their portraits. They stood & posed & after a while came closer to me, I've never had a fear of cows, they are in fact my favourite animals & one licked my hand - I love their bovine smell & rough tongues - when I used to say my goodbyes to the cattle I knew as a child, leaving for home, back to London - I'd not wash my jumper for weeks after, as I could still smell them on my sleeves! Sounds totally bonkers, but I don't care!
