Things from Home
I had a total of zero photos today, so I put my camera on my desk, pointed and clicked.
So... here we have a bag of Tetley Tea that my friend brought me when she went home to England, which is very strictly rationed.
A packet of Kleenex that I brought with me to the airport to get my plane back here.
An empty can on Heinz Tomato soup that I use as a pencil holder thing.
A tape measure from the world's biggest Ikea.
And a copy of NME my friend left me when she came to visit the other week. (open on an article about Metronomy! I seem to be going through a Metronomy-obsessed phase...)
Erm anyway, today I met up with a Scottish au pair!
It was very exciting to hear her accent, and talk at a normal fast pace.
We discussed: haggis, Strongbow, black pudding, deep fried mars bars, chippy chips (and sauce/vingar), whisky and many other typically Scottish things.
That I now realise seem to centre around the very healthy Scottish diet.
It was very strange because it turns I'd randomly met her parents before over a year ago...
