Daffodils

Another dull day. I'm hoping that with half term this week, we can all manage to get out and about a bit. Unfortunately, while I don't mind wrapping up and trudging about in wellies, the kids are less easily persuaded; so we'll have to wait and see how far we get.

In the meantime, here's a sure hint that Spring is coming! I brought several bunches of daffodils to place on various windowsills and brighten up the house. Some are still unopened, and I liked the texture of the 'wrapping' just below the bud. I'm sure there's a more technical name for it, but I am no flower expert!
