Cambodia and the world.

Bon-lie choo pa-eym bong-tiet cheang

On Thursday I had to work through lunch in order to get the last bus to Battambang at 2.45pm. I normally have a 3 hour lunch break, so to only have half an hour to grab some food felt very wrong. I didn't have time to go home, so I went to my favourite restaurant, The Coloured Chairs, and had my usual; sweet and sour vegetables, with a fried egg, for $1.50. Unlimited iced tea and rice comes free. Coloured Chairs is lovely, my favourite restaurant in the whole of Cambodia. I think I eat this meal at least once a week; whenver I can't be bothered to cook.

I made it to Battambang in time for the film night that evening. A local restaurant had put a screen up, and we watched Amelie, one of my favourite films, and I ate a sandwich and chips and drank mojitos. It was lovely. Worth rushing lunch for.
