Kenyan Milk Jug
My friend Agatha is visiting from Nairobi, Kenya over the next few days. We've done nothing but jabber away and tell stories since she got in...
She's just been to New York where she attended a conference on digital publishing.
She brought me this wonderful gift, a traditional milk jug (for gathering the daily milk from the family cow), a sample of the handcarved ware from the Turkana region. It's got handles that look like two pregnant women, kneeling; and the body of the jug rather resembles the head of a very large baby with a pacifier in its mouth.

And here is "Letter to Levity", my poem today now up on Via Negativa.
