Saturday
A beautiful sunny day today. A good day to get a long run in and then lunch downtown. I also thought it might be a good idea to drag my husband to the Yard and Patio Expo going on this weekend. I was a little disappointed, I actually get more inspiration just walking around my neighborhood. It is important to me that I learn a thing or two about gardening. I really enjoy it, but unfortunately have no idea what I am doing.
That is where the blip comes in. Late last summer we decided to dig up and pull out some of the ugly "stuff" in our yard. As I was digging away I came across literally hundreds of what I described as "little onions" in the ground. Well, I certainly wouldn't want to leave those weird things around....so I dug and tossed as many as I could away. I must have been really dense that day to not understand that I was throwing away hundreds of bulbs. Seriously, hundreds. So this blip is of one that survived, many actually survived and it is fun now to see them start to bloom. So, one of many lessons learned in my new yard, it is unlikely to find hundreds of onions underground next to your porch.
