Just plain weird

A very weird effect, caused by me trying out the off camera flash, without reading the manual etc etc...
The ones where I got the flash and exposure right were just plain boring, though; and the only other shots I took all day were of a flock of five crows mobbing a buzzard. They were right overhead as I left the bone-dungeon, so I dashed back for the camera, which had only got the 35mm lens on, so by the time I got a shot it was 5 tiny black things mobbing a slightly larger black thing.

It was either post this or have the first gap in my journal for 604 days; the sky would have fallen!
