view from Verandah

This is the wonderful view from the Verandah in Kep over the forest and out to the Gulf of Thailand. Kep is a strange place. It was popular as a holiday resort with rich Cambodian people before Pol Pot took over in 1975. The Khmer Rouge attempted to destroy the what must have been beautiful houses here and there are now just lots of big empty shells.
