Recession

Today I decided to go for a walk (which I realised was probably a bad idea because it was absolutely freezing!)

As I got to my local high street, it's very clear to see what the recession has done to this place. I could have taken a picture of the other side where it's more obvious, but alas I didn't.
So many businesses that closed and been bought over and over again. At least further up the street are many chain stores still, just a shame a lot of private businesses are no more!
The annoying thing is that they have plans to expand the town centre, costing millions, yet there are so many empty shops due to lack of money.

If anything... it feels like we're going back in time.
