Grande Maree/Half a mile out to sea!

By good luck we arrived at the beach on one of the mega big tide days just at low tide.Loads of people go scrabbling around in the sand and on the rocks to harvest anything and everything that can be eaten.........I had gone to collect empty oyster shells to crush up for the chooks! It took ages to walk to the sea and the tide had just turned so we all had to speed back up the beach to keep ahead of the water. I shall go again tomorrow and maybe the next day too before the tide returns to normal as it is so spectacular to see. It is also impressive on the full tide as it bashes against the dunes.
