Construction Beginning

This photo is taken from Stirling Railway Station in Scotland. The Wallace Monument is in the background. Construction is just starting on what is to be blocks of flats at the former Army depot at Riverside.

This archive blip is posted in Feb 2011. The same view from the railway station now would find the construction substantially complete and the view of the Monument now obscured by new flats (which are probably struggling to sell in this recession we are now in). Times change and with it the landscape of a town. The old Army depot had been there since at least WWII.
