Abandoned pickup

Over time this rusted vehicle will be shrouded in trees, vines and brush. This is how it is in the south. Lots of rain, humidity. The area at one time was all cotton fields, then oil was discovered in the 1920's and cotton fell out of favor as a cash crop. Cotton is also totally reliant upon heavy insecticide use. Timber then became a commodity as the cotton wasn't planted anymore. You still see the trucks hauling timber but not for homes, computer paper. The competition is recycled paper. There is also poverty here and elsewhere but to me, prevelant here. It's always been that way. There are as many poor whites as there are blacks, most aren't aware of this fact.
