Shrouded

Those of you with stonking electricity bills will be pleased to learn that there are two cables emerging from my electricity meter - one for the lighting circuits and one for the sockets and other electrical items. The sensor for the monitor thingy isn't capable of taking in both cables so my shockingly low consumption was just the lighting circuits. Now that the sensor is on the mains, it's all a bit more expensive. The interesting thing to see this morning was that it was showing about as much consumption at 7am, when most of the house is in bed, as it had been last night. That'll be those computers, the fridges, the freezers and all the things on standby. Interesting.

That was the most interesting thing that happened today. I had some major geekery with spreadsheets. Interesting enough to do but boring to talk about. The next best thing was getting a lift home - Mandy was in town with the weans at the museum so they came to take me home and I got to sleep the whole way. Fab. Fish suppers for tea too. All very lazy but great.
