Power cut

Arrived home tonight to find Scottish Power digging up part of the street, no big deal. Then 7 o'clock came and the power was cut, the whole street in darkness, no warning. Apparently they had cut through a cable. It was only out for about an hour but made me realise how much we take it for granted that we flick a switch and the powers there. A few folk were out shouting at the guys down the hole about computers/TVs/freezers not working. Would have sorted it quicker if they stopped arguing with them and left them to get on with it.
