Day Out

Well its half term and I had a day off. Little L was off to a friends for the day so I asked the other 2 what they would like to do that we could not normally do with L in tow. M said go to a shop without buying something! Very true.

Then it was suggested the Edinburgh Dungeons. I have not been there for years and boy has it changed from my youth. No wandering around exhibits by yourself. It was scary just getting to the cash desk! Long dark creepy corridors that go down and down and down.

It is all led by "live actors" from one area to the next. We got 2 warnings that the actors will get VERY close but will not touch you so please do not touch the actors! It made me chuckle as I can only imagine this warning has come about by some very scared visitors trying to protect themselves.

I was surprised how creepy I found it as these things do not normally bother me - but the darkness, the disorientation and the actors were great and had your nerves jangling!

All this and a drop ride at the end. M came out wanting to work there, it is right up his street, spending the day putting the frighteners up people.

Great day out!
