There is Wonder in Most Everything I see

The world is an amazing place.

I left work this evening at 5pm, early enough to catch a train home in daylight! It was a glorious evening, and if it hadn't been for the reflection on the dirty train window's today's blip would have been a golden sunset, settling over the bluest of blue still seas.

As I climbed the stairs at the station, I thought I might catch the last embers of the sun dipping below the horizon, but I was just too late. The sea was still, a deeper blue, and Arran on the horizon was a slightly different hue and a soft outline against the evening sky. Little whispy clouds started to colour themselves pink, and as I turned from the station and headed homeward, I caught sight of the moon beginning to glow, behind pink clouds.

Two little boys were playing football in the park, and as always, the ball came rolling towards me. I stopped it with my heel, toed it up, and kicked it back towards them. "Wow, Great Kick", one of them exclaimed astonished. "I have a boy of my own", I explained. They didn't get it. Obviously their mums did not undertake a Football Coach course, so that they were qualified to shout at referees in a professional capacity!

The air smelt of early Autumn - or early Spring. It's the same smell. The end of a warm day, with the nip of a cold evening, but the promise of a beautiful day ahead.

I was looking forward to getting in the house. Toolibelle has successfully passed 4 of her Prelims, and with one result to get, she has three A's and a B! Well on course for her much deserved A's in the final exams in May. Si bought her a bowl of Profitor Rolls to celebrate, and I bought her a magazine full of pictures of her favourite Lust After - No Way / Direction/ Hope... something like that!

So now, we have fed and watered, the night sky is being pierced by stars. And I'm ready to begin a search for my crochet hooks which have mysteriously disappeared. Beloved, has brought the ironing down from the dangerous bedroom, and Tooli is preparing for an evening's volleyball. In a minute I'll speak to Boy for a moment, and then I will smile and say to myself,

Life is Good!
