Tufted Titmouse

The cold weather is slowly giving way to a warmer spell, or so they promise. The ice in the driveway and everywhere else continues to be a terrible menace. One false step with a camera and 300mm lens could be disaster, so I quickly made use of my first model today. This fine fellow was singing his little heart out, snapping black eyes and a big appetite after a very cold night. Tough to get into the feeders for any feathered soul today, the squirrels have really taken over.

My friend M was really moved and thrilled with the painting of her family Summer cottage. It was great fun to give it to her, see her reaction and feel the emotion. The four of us enjoyed a nice meal out with lots of laughs and good conversation.

Off to the vets with Max today for his routine blood glucose test. Status quo, but calm on the cat feud front. Max is much more confident, she, well who knows what goes on in her intense little brain.

Max's BG was fine, he's dealing with his stress okay it seems, but he did have a bit of a gallop in his heart rhythm when his heart was beating like a triphammer, perfectly normal at the regular rhythm. He's 15 and they are not worried. Could she sense all of this, who knows?
