Firewood

They say if you have a fire you get warm more than once. You have to chop down some trees, saw into logs, transport them for storage, split the bigger ones, transport them to your fire, then light it.... so 6 times, maybe more! We had the railway embankment cleared not only for firewood but also for more light to our pool field. It will all grow back, coppiced.

This would have been Dad's 78th birthday, RIP, sadly missed.
