Aside from the wind (which always seems to be blowing against direction of travel), the rain (which is relentless), the potholes (which sometimes are genuinely scary), the lack of cycle lanes (the ones that do exist end abruptly), and the kamikaze pedestrians (who no matter how fast you are approaching decide to step off the pavement anyhow), I do love cycling in and around this fair city
