Water/Fire

No - don't panic, I'm not in hospital! I'm just blipping it :-)

In the early hours of this morning as I finished my late shift at work and made my way home I grabbed this shot of London Bridge Hospital as I walked over London Bridge.

I always get off the bus a stop earlier than I need when I'm on the late shift, because no matter whether it's raining, snowing, or blowing a gale the walk over London Bridge after midnight is always a fantastic 5 minutes that cheers me up whatever the weather. There's very rarely anyone else on the bridge, besides the occasional double-decker bus or taxi cab so it feels like I have it all to myself. There'll be more blips in the future from the bridge because it's my favourite spot to stop and reflect on a busy day, but for today I chose this shot because I love the colours of the lights reflecting in the water, almost as if the Thames were on fire.
