An exercise in futility
There is an ancient, rust-decorated Ford camper-van parked down my road. I've passed it daily and have been meaning to take a picture of it. I love the rounded shapes of its body and its battered appearance appeals too - it shows it has been well-used and had a long, probably eventful lifespan.
When I got closer I found this exchange between owner and traffic warden on the windscreen. The message is endearing - of interest to me that as human beings we sometime imbue vehicles with personality and affection. Its a shame the warden was unable to respond in the same way.
Note to self: Try to view yourself with the same compassion you felt for that worn out machine.
