My first Woodpecker!

Another wet and grey day (I am getting rather bored of saying that now!) and my walk at lunchtime was turning out to be a bit of a disaster, one photo of a very fat pigeon and one photo of a Sea Gull and then this chap started making a noise in the tree up ahead, this is the only photo that I managed to get of him before he disappeared and it is probably not the best photo of a woodpecker but it is my first and therefore he gets pride of place today!

Hopefully tomorrow will be nicer as I have the day off and would really like to get out and about without the risk of melting!
