Spent far to long 'in the zone' sat at my Mac in work today, totally absorbed in what I was doing. A couple of deadlines later and we were FREE - breathing in the fresh air for half an hour or so, avoiding the muddy bits on the well worn footpath.

Just before poostick bridge we heard a woodpecker, really loud up in the trees somewhere. 5 minutes of listening rewarded us with a glimpse (it was black with bits of red). The best bit was the 'woodpeckering' noise though - it echoed right across the woods, over the stream and reverberated around the cul-de-sac.

Couldn't capture the bluddy thing in a photo tho'. That's blipping birds for you.
