Celebration of life.

My uncle passed away last Tuesday and his funeral service was today. He was a man of few words and led a very simple life on his farm. He enjoyed that way of life and at the age of 88 he would have said he had had a good innings!
Today we met for a celebration of his life. It was nice to hear how his life had evolved although some folk might say he had never ventured far.

Contentment is a great thing and he certainly was very content with his lot. Lately he gained great pleasure just driving around his fields in his old tractor but ill health put a stop to that.
He was a fine man and I thought the world of him. He liked snowdrops.......
